Our research focus is translational dementia research, including fluid biomarkers, patient cohort studies but also intervention studies, mouse models of neurodegenerative diseases. We are interested in the contribution of extracellular vesicles to neurodegenerative diseases, glia neuron cross talk, and microglial pathology in neurodegeneration. Diseases include Frontotemporal Dementia, Alzheimer’s Disease and from a purely wet lab-based perspective Parkinson’s disease.
